1. What Are Adverbs of Frequency?

Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens. They answer the question “How often?”
These adverbs help you talk about your daily habits, routines, and repeated actions. For example, I always have breakfast at 8 a.m. (= Every day, not sometimes)

2. The Main Adverbs of Frequency

3. Where Do Adverbs of Frequency Go in a Sentence?

Adverbs of Frequency are either placed: Before the main verb, or After the verb “to be” (am, is, are)

A. Before the main verb

I always drink water in the morning.
They usually go to school by bus.
We sometimes play tennis.

B. After “to be”

They are often tired after work.
She is always happy.
I am never late for class.

No, he isn’t.
Yes, I do.
No, I don’t.
