At B1 level, learners should be able to express an opinion and explain the reason behind it. Instead of giving very short answers such as
“I like it” or “I don’t agree”, they should be able to develop their ideas more clearly.
In this lesson, you will learn useful expressions for giving opinions and supporting them with reasons in everyday communication.

A B1 answer usually becomes clearer and more complete when you explain
why you think something.
3. Short Conversation
Adam: Do you think online learning is better than classroom learning?
Sara: I think both can be useful, but I prefer classroom learning.
Adam: Why?
Sara: Because I can speak directly with the teacher and other students.
Adam: That’s true. I prefer online learning because it gives me more flexibility.
Sara: Yes, that’s definitely one of its advantages.

At B1 level, try to develop your answers instead of using only one short
sentence. Giving a reason makes your communication clearer and more natural.

I usually prefer films because they are more visual and easier to enjoy after a busy day. However, I think books often give us more detail.
